太超過了！T-Mobile G1（HTC Dream）大走光！

疑似某個不要命的 Google 員工沒事拿東西出來獻寶，就是上面的組圖！話說看起來似乎少了些之前網友們批評的 low 感，不知道當初覺得他質感不佳的朋友現在是否有改觀了呢？

HTC的內戰：Touch Pro、 Touch Diamond和S740

既然之前已經走漏風聲，現在在IFA要追HTC S740的消息就不是件難事，而且我們還把它拿來和Touch Pro、Touch Diamond來個大車拼。

S740的鍵盤和Touch Pro相似，但沒有那麼深，就HTC產品來看打字沒之前好打。手機螢幕上的光滑鏡面加工也沒有為它加到分，就算把上面的指紋污垢擦掉，還是不容易看清畫面，還有一點不得不說，相較之下，Touch Pro的褪光加工設計使得Diamond或iPhone 3G看起來較沒價值。對了，當問到Dream的後續消息，HTC很快回答「我們什麼事都不知道。」

這款HTC S740的新機，除了普通的Smartphone鍵盤外，還增加了一個側滑蓋 QWERTY 標準鍵盤，2.4吋QVGA螢幕，116.3×43.4×16.3mm，140克重量，採用WM6.1的系統，528MHz高通（Qualcomm）MSM7225處理器，256MB ROM/256MB RAM，支持3G，內置320萬後置攝影機和30萬前置攝影機。

我們已經看過一些模糊的影片，還設法從Andy Rubin的示範中瞧見幾眼，現在我們終於拿到機身貼著T-Mobile的牌、搭載Android的照片。這些照片不只肯定了FCC文件上幾乎成型的Android版本屬實，也證實Dream很快就會投向T-Mobile的懷抱。更不用說，這位洩漏照片的人現在看到它們公諸於世，八成嚇得半死。不要白費他的努力，來看看圖集裡的照片吧。

Yesterday we got the height and width, today it's the full wireframe model with scale measurements. While we can't confirm the authenticity, several details including that arcing base certainly dovetail nicely with the images found in the original FCC filing. It's also a near-perfect match to that early reference design seen kicking around the Googleplex courtesy of Andy Rubin. While not obvious before, we can clearly see that the arc belongs to the handset's rigid, non-sliding "chin" with lots of logos from HTC, T-Mobile, and Google fighting for visibility.

Notably, the right-most image contains measurements which can be applied to the rest of scale model as well. This confirms the 115 x 55-mm height and width shown by the FCC yesterday as well as a new, approximate, 16.35-mm depth after applying the calipers. That would make it fatter (as expected) than the 12.3-mm iPhone but skinnier (and a hair wider) than the 18.1-mm HTC Touch Pro and 17-mm Xperia X1. Not bad. Now let's get to it boys, else there won't be much left to announce in September.


LG and Quanta settle 8-year long patent dispute



LG and Quanta have been going at it over patents for eight years now, with LG notably seeking an injunction against the importation of Quanta-built Apple, HP, Dell, and Sony laptops, and the Supreme Court ruling that LG wasn't entitled to additional royalties, but it looks like the fight's finally over -- both sides say they've come to an agreement and will now negotiate royalty rates. No further details, but we're told BMW sales near the offices of LG and Quanta's law firms just skyrocketed.

HTC Dream FCC approved, Android clear for launch?

The long rumored HTC Dream handset -- once referred to as "The Googlephone" -- just received FCC approval. The handset is listed as type, "Dream" with a model of "DREA100." The same model also appears with a WiFi Interoperability Certificate touting 802.11b/g WiFi. If indeed this is the long awaited Android phone, then T-Mobile, HTC, and Google are free to announce in September with an October launch as originally planned. How would you change HTC's Advantage X7510?

There's no denying that HTC's Advantage X7510 fills a narrowing niche -- after all, how many of these things have you seen out and about in the subway / underground? Still, there's just something very enticing about a 5-inch VGA display, built-in GPS, HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth and a full-blown QWERTY keyboard, is there not? For you folks who plunked down quite a few bills in order to bring this home, how has your experience been? For you folks in America who have just recently decided to bite the bullet and jump in, was it worth it? How would you tweak this do-it-all conglomerate (besides making it way more affordable)? HTC 夢想成真？仍舊是個夢想？

話說 2008 年也已經跨入所謂的下半年許久，Android 手機也該出來透透氣了吧？特別是那隻釣足大家胃口的 HTC Dream；不管先前曾經看過他長成啥德性，最新的影片就當作是他的原型機最新版吧！裡頭不但是以 Android 手機平台來示範簡單的觸控操作，同時也簡短的秀了一下他那看得不清不楚的下拉式實體 QWERTY 鍵盤。（其實整隻影片都很模糊啦！）

800萬像WVGA分辨率Google手機？HTC Rose驚現

HTC是我國臺灣一家很有實力的手機廠商，也是專注於生產Windows Mobile的智能手機廠商，在08年的規劃裏面，HTC有5款很強大的智能手機，（請看《據傳多普達Diamond 夢想等5牛機將發布!索愛X1終結者》）其中的Touch Diamond(鑽石)和Touch Pro（拉斐爾）已經面世，Touch Diamond更是今年的主打機型，但傳言中的首款基於Google Android平臺的手機HTC Dream卻一直沒有被揭開神秘的面紗。全球首款Google手機也一直沒有出現，但是近日，Bluetooth Special Interest Group（Bluetooth SIG，藍牙技術聯盟）的官方網站上出現了一條這樣的產品信息：HTC Rose。可能預示著全球首款Google手機即將與我們見面了。

　　雖然此次Bluetooth SIG提到的HTC Rose還沒有更多的詳細信息，但是知情人士已經透露Rose很可能是HTC首部Android平臺機的最新代號。不過Rose究竟是否還會採用HTC Dream的原型目前還無從得知。

　　但從目前的情況和HTC的規劃來看，這款Rose（玫瑰）很可能就是將來HTC首款Google手機的研發代號，而且這款手機將可能採用了WVGA水平的高分辨率顯示屏，配置了一顆800萬像素的自動對焦攝像頭，內建32GB的ROM。

　　Google Android平臺被譽為將來最有希望挑戰微軟和塞班智能係統的平臺，雖然傳說性能強大，但終端手機卻一直沒有出現，HTC Rose會不會成為具有劃時代意義的首款谷歌手機呢？我們也將繼續為大家跟蹤報道，揭開這款手機的神秘面紗。

HTC report says Touch Diamond is coming to Sprint this month

Don't rule out the possibility that this is a complete and utterly disgusting fib, but a recent writeup in The China Post about HTC's financial situation very clearly states when the hotly-anticipated Touch Diamond is coming to Sprint: this month. If you're looking for the play-by-play, the article proclaims that the "company released its Diamond phone in Asia in June and will begin selling the handset through Sprint Nextel Corp. in August." Look, we've seen a CDMA version of this thing donning Sprint garb, we've watched it fall into the capable hands of the FCC and we know it has to arrive sometime. If all of this doesn't add up to Sprint getting the Touch Diamond in August, well, we'll let you do the math.
